Root Canal

A root canal treatment can save a damaged tooth. The tooth may have become infected or damaged by repeated dental work, an injury or cracked fillings.

A root canal treatment involves drilling a hole into a decayed tooth and removing the soft center, known as the dental pulp. Dentist inserts a small support into the root canals to strengthen the tooth. The dentist may also cap the tooth with an artificial crown if necessary.
